CEO Dan Hart founded Southern Refreshment Services in 1979 with his business partner, the late Alan Plaisted. Beginning with just one client, Dan and Alan were determined to grow the business, knocking on doors and making deliveries with an old station wagon. They knew the keys to a successful vending business: providing seamless service, constantly updating their offerings and embracing new technology.

More than three decades later, the award-winning Southern Refreshment Services is a dominant player in the Atlanta market and beyond, serving almost a half million people every day. Our national team of food service experts operate everywhere from offices and convention centers to universities. Southern Refreshment Services simply offers the highest quality in service and products.

In 2001, we arrived on the national and global scene with the pivotal acquisition of the local Canteen corporate operation, thus giving us national proprietary items along with global purchasing power. In 2011, we started offering self-checkout micro markets for your convenience. We’ve been honored to receive several industry awards, including the National Automatic Merchandising Association’s 2012 Vending Operator of the Year, as well as eight consecutive Consumer’s Choice Awards.
