Water Serivce

1. The “Everpure filter system has been designed by Everpure for operators to give their customers the most economical choice for providing clean, filtered water. Delivering virtually unlimited clean, crisp, refreshing drinking water…. Without the hassles of bottled water.

EVERPURE

Since 1933 providing premium quality drinking and cooking water has been our only concern. Our leadership in the field of drinking water is demonstrated by the quality of the customers we serve. Among them are McDonald’s, 7-Elevin, Disney World, Coke, Starbucks, Caribou coffee, United Airlines, Winnebago, and thousands of other companies around the world. The US Navy specifies Everpure systems for every surface ship in it’s fleet. Even on Air Force One there are Everpure filters

Fresh with no hassles

A point of use cooler with the filter delivers the freshest water possible. The filter turns ordinary tap water into great-tasting, healthful water for drinking and coffee making. It is not manufactured and stored like bottled water, and you never run out. There are no back breaking bottles to lift or store, and no deliveries to interrupt the efficiency of your office.

Economical!

It’s a fraction of the cost of bottled water, and costs much less than other forms of quality water treatment. There is no electricity used as in distillation. And there is no water wasted as in reverse osmosis.

2. The filtration system reduces or removes,

Bad tastes and odors
Chlorine
Turbidity Dirt and rust
Cysts Mold and algae
Asbestos fibers
Oxidized iron, manganese and sulfides
and
99.9%+ of all particles ½ micron and larger in size

Exclusive Micro-Pure filtering material coats entire pleated surface inside the cartridge This eliminates over 99.9%+ of all particles ½ micron (1/50,000 inch) and larger for the entire rated life of the cartridge.

This fine filtration is what removes the Turbidity (the very fine floating particles) Dirt and rust Cysts (such as Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica, and Cryptosporidium parvum) Remember in 1993 when 300,000 people in Milwaukee got sick that was Cryptosporidium! Recent outbreaks include Sydney Australia, Greeley Colorado, and Toronto.

Mold and Algae

Asbestos fibers

Oxidized Iron, manganese and sulfides

Pleated surface increases water’s exposure to activated carbon for improved efficiency.

The activated carbon is what removes the

Bad tastes and odors

Organic (fishy, musty tastes and odors)

Chlorine

3. The filtration system does not purify the water or remove the minerals.

To “Purify” the water you must remove the minerals
Although Everpure filters take out particles down to 1/50,000 of an inch, they do not remove the TDS (Totally Dissolved Solids). These minerals have become a liquid (such as salt water, you can not filter out the salt from sea water.

Purified water is water that is produced by reverse osmosis, distillation or deionization.

Reverse Osmosis, in this type of treatment water is forced through a special membrane. The membrane is permeable to water but less permeable water impurities. Pure water slowly passes through the membrane while water with the impurities is directed to a drain. RO systems send much water to waste, Note: they send 2 to 16 gallons down the drain for each gallon they make, and they make water very slowly it is not uncommon for them to run out of water. Although they produce “pure” water this type of water may not be best for certain applications (coffee tastes better with minerals in it).
Note: the Specialty Coffee Association states that RO water does not make the best coffee.
RO is a special application where TDS is high and/or there is salt water intrusion.

Distilled Water is made when water is turned to steam and then condensed. This water is mineral free but may not be chemically free and is very expensive to make. Average electrical cost to make a gallon of water is 25 cents to 65 cents. It is also makes water slowly. As with RO this pure water is best when the TDS is very high and/or there is salt water intrusion.

Note: most bottled water is made from RO (these very high volume plants can be much more efficient due to pretreatment, boosting of water pressure, among other thing.

If you read the label on most gallons of drinking water it will say purified water with minerals added back for flavor.

Everpure filtered water is the same but it does not remove the minerals in the first place.

4. The Everpure filtration system meets or exceeds the NSF International (NSF) requirements for the above claims

NSF International, is an independent, not-for-profit organization, and is dedicated to public health safety, by providing superior third party conformity assessment services. 800-NSF-Mark www.nsf.org

They test water filters. They are the UL of water.

The Everpure filter exceeds the Class 1 requirements of NSF’s International’s Standard 42 by removing more than 97 percent of chlorine, off tastes and odors, and more than 99% of all particles ½ micron and larger in size. Additionally, the 4C cartridge meets or exceeds NSF requirements for Standard 53 –Health Effects. Which include, Turbidity reduction, Cyst reduction, Asbestos reduction.

The 10 most frequently asked questions about the Everpure water filter

1. Does the Everpure filter remove Fluoride?

Answer: No

2. Why do I have to change some filters more often than other filters?

Answer: The media inside some filters, than insure the lead and bacteria claims, has a limited capacity.

3. What is the difference between water coming from an Everpure filter and bottled water?

Answer: Most bottled drinking water that you purchase is purified water with minerals added back for flavor. The Everpure filter does everything else to the water but remove the minerals.

4. How do I know that there are not other contaminants in the water?

Answer: If you are on a municiple water systems, by law the municipality must publish a report once a year and list any contaminates that are above the EPA limits.

5. Will the filter always last 6 months?

Answer: No, we will change the filter every 6 months to insure your water quality, but it may plug up sooner do to local water conditions, (water main construction, fire hydrant flushing, poor condition of your building’s pipes, drought conditions, etc.)

6. Why does the municipality not kill the cysts in the water?

Answer: Their shells are resistant to chlorine, and are too small to be filtered out in most old water treatment systems.

7. Is this like a water softener?

Answer: NO, a water softener only takes out the hardness, (calcium and magnesium). It does not remove chlorine, taste and odors, cysts, asbestos, or lead.

8. Why should a customer care about lime scale inhibition? Answer: Scale is an insulator, the less scale the less energy used.

9. Is distilled water better?

Answer: Most people like the flavor of minerals that is why bottled water has minerals added back for flavor. You need minerals to brew a good cup of coffee. And a distiller uses about 65 cents of electricity to make a gallon of water.

10.What about RO (Reverse Osmosis)?

Answer: RO makes very pure water, therefore has the same negatives as above. In addition it makes water very slowly and needs storage tank to keep up with volume. It also waste from 2 to 20 gallons down the drain for every one it makes.

EVERPURE PRE-COAT TECHNOLOGY
There are so many water treatment technologies that address different water quality needs. When it comes to filtration, Everpure’s pre-coat process provides better protection against contaminants. Pre-coat filtration removes particles, off tastes and odors,

A proprietary blend of very fine activated carbon called MICRO-PURE® coats a unique, pleated filter membrane. This provides 40 times more filtering surface area than other systems of similar size.
asbestos, fibers, cysts like Cryptosporidium and Giardia, and other harmful contaminants. This patented technology offers the largest filtration surface area, a long filter life, and protection against undetectable failures, such as channeling and dumping.
  • Features a proprietary blend of very fine activated carbon treated with a bacteriostat to effectively reduce the growth of bacteria.
  • Reduces particles as small as 1/2 micron (1/50,000 inch), including harmful cysts and asbestos fibers.
  • Through our exclusive precoat process, Micro-Pure coats the filter membrane throughout the life of the cartridge.
  • A heavy-duty metal cartridge housing protects the Everpure filter system from splitting or bursting.

They’ll tell you it’s the same, but it doesn’t come close to being Everpure.

The inner workings reveal Everpure’s precoat quality, performance and value advantages.

1. Water enters the top of the Everpure filter cartridge, flows down through the inlet tube and into the filter chamber.

A proprietary blend of very fine activated carbon called Micro- Pure® coats a unique, pleated filter membrane.

A typical 10” carbon block filter has a surface area of 78.5 square inches.

The surface area of a pleated membrane in a 10” Everpure precoat filter is 444 square inches. That’s 5.6 times more surface area.

A heavy-duty, aluminum cartridge housing protects the Everpure filter system from splitting or bursting. It’s lined with a food-grade polymer that prevents the water from coming in contact with the aluminum.

4. Filtered water channels up through the rigid grid structure of the filter membrane and out of the system.

3. Incoming pressure forces the water through the layer of Micro-Pure and through the filter membrane. The openings in the Micro-Pure layer are so small that any particle 1/2-micron (1/50,000 inch) or larger is removed, including harmful cysts and asbestos fibers.

2. Through our exclusive precoat process, Micro-Pure coats the filter membrane throughout the life of the cartridge. Water flows evenly and freely, even with changes in water pressure.
